ATD Long Island Presents:
The Power of Alignment:
Collaboration That Produces Better Outcomes
Hosted by the Long Island Chapter in partnership with CaringKind (formerly ALzheimer's Disease Resource Group)
Alignment is easy to talk about
but much harder to make happen consistently.
Whether an organization is navigating growth, change, or simply trying to work more effectively across teams—
or a family is navigating the uncertainty, changing needs, and difficult decisions that come with caring for a a loved one living with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia—
better outcomes depend on alignment.
In both our professional and personal lives, success requires more than good intentions.
It requires the right people, clear expectations, shared responsibility, effective processes, and agreement on what matters most.

About This Event
Whether an organization or a family is navigating change, uncertainty, or a new reality, better outcomes depend on alignment.
Success requires the right people, clear expectations, shared responsibility, effective processes, and agreement on what matters most.
It requires people to understand:
· how their work connects
· how to communicate effectively
· how to clarify expectations
· and how to take shared responsibility for outcomes
In this interactive workshop, Kiki Orski will explore what makes alignment and collaboration work in the real world. Using practical tools and examples, participants will examine the behaviors, relationships, processes, and measures that either strengthen collaboration or quietly get in its way.
Participants will leave with practical ways to improve how they work with others, reduce misunderstandings and unnecessary friction, and create stronger partnerships around the outcomes that matter most.
The session is designed for leaders, managers, team members, professionals, and individuals who want to strengthen their ability to work effectively with others regardless of role or situation.
Participants will learn how to:
1. Recognize how they personally contribute to—or detract from—collaboration.
Identify the behaviors, assumptions, communication patterns, and choices that influence trust, accountability, and the ability of others to do their best work.
2. Build stronger partnerships around a shared outcome.
Learn to identify who needs to be involved, when they need to be involved, what each person uniquely contributes, and where clearer agreements can prevent work from becoming fragmented or stuck.
3. Turn collaboration into coordinated action.
Move beyond good intentions by clarifying expectations, responsibilities, processes, and measures of success so that people are not simply working alongside one another, they are working together toward the same result.
A portion of the proceeds from this program will benefit CaringKind. Join us to learn all that this amazing organization has to offer.
Light breakfast will be served.
