Talent management is a mission critical process that ensures organizations have the quantity and quality of people in place to meet their current and future business priorities. The process covers all key aspects of an employee’s life cycle: selection, development, succession and performance management. Yet, over 6,500 ATD members have completed a self-assessment and Talent Management and Strategy is identified one of the weakest capabilities. Yet, there are practical steps you can take to engage, motivate and develop your workforce.

In this combined chapter event with ATD Southern CT and Long Island New York Chapters, Morgean Hirt of ATD National will provide a brief overview of the ATD model followed by author, exemplar leader, consultant and expert Kimberly Janson who will share strategies, insights from her research, and case studies demonstrating practical application with her clients to take our skills to the next level.

In this session you will take a 360-degree point of view on talent and learn how each stakeholder views the elements of people management, what they need from each  element, and what confusion and conflicts arise among stakeholders which ultimately limits people’s potential.
